The Japan-America Society of Georgia welcomes students from Japan to Atlanta for Obirin University’s College of Business Management Global Outreach Program twice a year. Students study a total of 16 weeks of English at Georgia Tech or Georgia State University (Atlanta), while learning how American and Japanese businesses operate in today’s global economy during the last 8 weeks of the program as part of a business practicum lab. The JASG seeks host families for the students attending the ESL program at Georgia Tech and friendship families for the students living in the Georgia State University dorms during the spring and fall semesters. If you are interested in either program, please fill out the application below. |
HOST FAMILY
The Japan-America Society of Georgia's Host Family Program (HFP) gives Japanese undergraduate university students the opportunity to become acquainted with local families in the metro-Atlanta area. Students live with the Host Family for 4 months. The HFP experience provides students with a unique "window into American culture" as families welcome them to the U.S. and help them adjust to life in Atlanta. Why Host?
