JASG × JETAA Southeast: Japanese Undokai

Come experience Undokai (運動会) — a traditional Japanese school sports day — with JASG and JETAA Southeast!

In Japan, Undokai is a special event where students come together for fun games, team competitions, cheering, and teamwork. This time, we're bringing the spirit of Undokai to Atlanta!

Participants will be divided into Red Team (紅組) and White Team (白組) and will enjoy a variety of fun and easy team activities. You don't need to be an athlete to participate — the goal is to have fun, meet new people, cheer for your team, and experience a unique part of Japanese culture!

Activities will include classic Undokai games such as:

• Tamaire (玉入れ) — a Japanese ball-tossing game
• Tug-of-War (綱引き)
• Team games and relay activities
• Team cheering and other fun challenges

We'll also begin with Radio Taiso (ラジオ体操), a traditional Japanese group exercise, to get everyone warmed up!

⚪ Team color

Participants will be assigned to either the Red Team or White Team before the event. We encourage you to wear or bring something in your team's color!

Optional Picnic & Social Time

The official Undokai program will end at 3:00 PM. If you'd like to keep the fun going, you're welcome to stay afterward for an informal picnic and social time. Bring your own snacks, drinks, and picnic blanket!

No athletic experience is necessary — just bring your energy and team spirit!

This event is a collaboration between the Japan-America Society of Georgia (JASG) and JETAA Southeast.

Advance registration is required for this program. Individuals who do not register prior to the event may not be able to participate due to capacity and planning limitations. By registering, I understand that photos and/or video may be taken at the event and agree that these materials may be used for promotional purposes.
