2024 Bonenkai Holiday Celebration Gala

The Consulate General of Japan in Atlanta will present the 2024 Foreign Minister’s Commendation to Mr. Robert Marshat The Japan-America Society of Georgia's Bonenkai Holiday Gala. Mr. Marsh served as Chairman of the JASG for 2 years and devoted himself to promoting friendly relations between Japan and the United States. and also co-chaired JapanFest, the largest Japanese festival in the southeastern United States.

Robert is currently President, GlobalMesh LLC, based in Alpharetta, Georgia, and a Business Development Executive at AB Global Logistics in Duluth, GA. Prior to establishing his business consulting firm, Robert enjoyed a twenty-nine year career at UPS. Robert began his UPS career in Connecticut where he worked in Operations, Sales, and Marketing for twelve years. After a successful stint in CT, Robert worked in Japan for six years, predominately in Sales and Marketing. While working in Japan, Robert also had responsibility for Korea sales for three years. In 2007, Robert was relocated to the UPS Global Headquarters in Atlanta, GA to work in Global Accounts. In 2012, Robert moved to Global Sales Strategy where he held various positions. Robert worked in Global Healthcare Logistics from 2017 until November 2018 as a Senior Product Manager focused on the LATAM market. He retired from UPS in November 2018. Robert also serves on the board of The Japan America Society of Georgia. Robert was the Chairman of the society from 2013-2015. Robert has a BA is Japanese and Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from the University of Connecticut. Robert lives in Alpharetta, GA with his wife Kim.
