As a part of the Society’s winter tradition, we will be celebrating the holidays at the 43rd Bonenkai Holiday Dinner Gala on December 12, 2023, at the Piedmont Driving Club. Join us as this year's dinner promises to be an evening you will not want to miss with the Consul General of Japan in Atlanta presenting the Foreign Minister of Japan’s 2023 Commendation Award to JASG Chair Emeritus, Mr. Charles Ganz. The dinner will also feature a networking cocktail reception, silent auction, door prizes, and performances by Junko Fujiyama and the Suzuki School of Violin.

If you have items that you would like to donate as a tax-deductable contribution to the Silent Auction, please contact the JASG office at 404-842-1400. Additionally, if you are a service organization or other institution that does not have an item to donate, please consider donating $100 or more for the JASG to purchase an appropriate item on your behalf. All proceeds from the auction will fund The JASG’s many educational, business, and cultural projects we offer throughout the year.

The Consulate General of Japan in Atlanta will present the 2023 Foreign Minister’s Commendation to Mr. Charles Ganz at The Japan-America Society of Georgia's Bonenkai Holiday Gala. Mr. Ganz served as Chairman of the JASG for 2 years and devoted himself to promoting friendly relations between Japan and the United States. and also co-chaired JapanFest, the largest Japanese festival in the southeastern United States.
Mr. Ganz is a member of Eversheds Sutherland (US)'s Corporate Practice Group, practices principally in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and securities law. He also advises national and multinational manufacturing, service and technology companies and other clients as to general corporate matters, contracts (including sales and supply agreements), licenses, and leases. He has significant experience in complex national and international stock and asset purchase transactions, and with respect to sales, mergers, reorganizations, split-ups and dispositions, public offerings, private placements, leveraged and management buyouts, going private transactions, proxy contests and tender offers. His practice also includes institutional, commercial and asset-based lending and project finance transactions. In addition, he has significant experience with leveraged-leasing transactions.
