Tomodachi Club - “CELEBRATING 40 YEARS”

  • Wednesday, May 04, 2022
  • 10:30 AM
  • Home of Anne Godsey - 1795 High Trail Atlanta, GA 30339

Please join us on Wednesday, May 4th to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Tomodachi Club! As you may know, the Tomodachi Club was founded in October 1981, a year after the inauguration of the Japan-America Society of Georgia, to promote friendship, cultural exchange and understanding among Japanese and American women. Due to the spread of the omicron variant of the COVID-19 virus, we were unable to have a celebration last year, but now that most restrictions have been lifted and the majority of people have been vaccinated, your co-chairs have decided we can safely host an in-person celebration of this milestone of the Tomodachi Club. Our meeting will be held at the beautiful East Cobb home of co-chair Anne Godsey. In celebration of the 40th anniversary, the co-chairs have put together a PowerPoint retrospective of our General and Small Group meetings over the years, along with some photo albums, that will allow us to reminisce about the friendships and many good times we have all shared. Bento boxes prepared by The Orient Restaurant will be served for lunch. Hopefully the weather will be warm enough for us to enjoy lunch on Anne’s screened porch. Guests are welcome to join us.

RSVP BY: Thursday, April 28th with your check payable to JASG and mail to Anne Godsey at the address above or send a Venmo to Debra Owen @Debra-Owen. Her cell phone number is 240-529-6059. Please note “May Tomodachi Club Meeting” if you send your payment by Venmo. In addition, email your menu choices to Anne Godsey.
