The Nihongo Eigo-Kai is a friendly social gathering for anyone looking for an opportunity to chat in, practice, and improve on their Japanese and English conversation skills – speaking, listening, pronunciation, accent reduction, etc. Please RSVP if you plan to come, so we can keep you updated. Kayobi-Kai dinners are on-going dinner meetings that meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month at different restaurants in the metro Atlanta area. The Kayobi-Kai is intended to be an informal gathering to promote friendship and social networking, and anyone who to interested is welcome. All Kayobi-Kai dinners will begin at 6:30pm and everyone in attendance will be responsible for their own check at the end of the evening.

火曜日会は毎月第二火曜日にアトランタの各種のレストランで食事をしながら参加者の親睦を深めるつどいの場を提供いたします。くつろいだ雰囲気の中でどなたでも参加できます。時間は毎回 6時半からで、支払いは食事の終わりに各自でしていただきます。

The average group attending these Kayobi-Kai dinners is 8-15 people, and depending on the restaurant, we may have to cap attendance. Please sign up if you plan to come, so we know to expect you. Should you have any suggestions and/or requests regarding restaurants for future Kayobi-Kai meetings, please do not hesitate to contact the JASG office and let us know your recommendations. Associations 48th Annual Joint Meeting

The 48th annual joint meeting of the Southeast U.S./Japan Association (SEUS - Japan) and the Japan-U.S. Southeast Association will take place in Nashville, Tennessee, from October 25 to 27, 2026. The event brings together senior Japanese business leaders and government officials to network and engage, with plenary sessions dedicated to strengthening the strategic Japan - U.S. economic partnership.

Overview

Join Survale for an interactive candidate experience workshop and learn the best practices of leading companies in recruiting and hiring. This workshop is being hosted by YKK AP America Inc., a past multi-year CandE Award Winner. Our promotional partner is the Japan-America Society of Georgia.

We’ll also have a special guest, internationally acclaimed entrepreneur, speaker, trainer and life coach, Steve Dennis, who will talk about “From Interview to Impact!” hiring people who change the game.

Kevin Grossman, VP Benchmark Research at Survale, will moderate this exclusive candidate experience workshop. Kevin runs Candidate Experience (CandE) Benchmark Research and Awards program, now in its 15th year, working with more than 2,000 global employers and surveying nearly 2 million candidates.

This Survale CandE workshop covers recruiting, hiring, and the candidate journey from pre-application to onboarding. The workshops run from 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM and will include a happy hour from 4:30-5:30 PM to mingle and network.

Join Jim Whitcomb’s Swim 2 Help Tunnel 2 Towers Fundraiser on Friday, November 13, 2026. Jim will swim his heart out to raise money for families of our military and first responders who make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country. The Live Stream will feature a live look at Jim swimming 7.5 miles at Mountain View Aquatics Center in Marietta, Georgia, and messages from supporters and people who come to the pool to cheer Jim on. All proceeds will go to Tunnel to Towers. On September 11, 2001, FDNY firefighter Stephen Siller laid down his life to save others when America was attacked. For 20 years, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation has honored Stephen's legacy by supporting the heroes who continue to risk life and limb in the line of duty.
