• Audit documentation and review quality data to ensure finished product complies with quality standards prior to shipment, identifying and reporting deficiencies to production, engineering and support areas. Job Description
The President, serving at the pleasure of the Board, is Chief Executive Officer of the Society with responsibility for day-to-day management and operations of the Society. This includes working with the Board on strategic plans, formulating the annual business plan, gaining approval for said plan by the Executive Committee and the Board, fundraising, and managing the staff and other resources of the Society to achieve the business plan.
Responsibilities
1) Work effectively with Board Chair, Board members and others as necessary to develop strategic plans for the Society. Mobilize Board members, Society members and others to work together effectively to achieve these strategic objectives.
2) Develop the annual business plan in conjunction with JSNC Staff, oversee approval of the plan by the Executive Committee and the Board, and direct Staff and Board efforts to achieve the business plan.
3) Oversee, direct and actively participate in fundraising efforts working with the Society’s Development Officer, and drawing effectively on the Board Chair, the Board’s Development and Membership Committees and individual Board members. The President has overall responsibility for and is expected to participate actively in efforts to maximize revenue from all sources, including membership renewal, new member development, the leadership circle, annual fund raising, the annual award of honor gala and silent auction, sponsored programs, Japanese language lessons, foundation and other grant development, and other possible sources of revenue consistent with the Society’s mission.
4) Assure that the Society provides a broad range of highest quality programming which serves the Society’s mission while attracting a growing and financially supportive membership/sponsorship base.
